Things To Do in Chicago: The Taste of Randolph

Don’t miss this year’s Taste of Randolph festival in West Loop this weekend from Friday, June 17th to Sunday, June 19th. As one of Chicago’s most popular street festivals, this event features both local and international music artists as well as prime neighborhood food choices. This year’s headliners include the Swedish pop-rock sensation Peter Bjorn and John, Australian rock group Atlas Genius, American duo Ms Mr, and the Denver-based funk-jazz group The Motet. The food at the event will range from upscale Middle Eastern fare to Gourmet Ice Cream.

One unique aspect of this year’s festival is the collaboration with the city of Denver to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. The Denver Live stage at Taste of Randolph will be lined with two 70-foot tall replica monoliths painted to mimic the experience and sound of Red Rocks. Additionally, the competition Road to Red Rocks allows four local Chicago bands to perform on the Denver Live stage for a chance to play at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The winner is determined by audience vote and each fan that submits a vote is entered to win an exclusive trip to Denver, including concert tickets!
